Job summary

SPIE Global Services Energy in Doha, Qatar seeks a CSCC Mechanical Work Preparator to prep, coordinate, and ensure readiness of offshore mechanical maintenance and replacement activities. You will focus on valve replacement, piping modifications, pressure-containing equipment, and mechanical integrity restoration for safe offshore execution.

Diploma or higher in Mechanical Engineering with 10+ years offshore experience is required.

Qualifications

• Diploma, HNC/HND, or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in offshore oil and gas mechanical maintenance and execution.
• Strong experience in valve replacement campaigns, piping modifications, brownfield mechanical projects, shutdowns and turnarounds.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed mechanical work packs for offshore execution, including valve replacement and piping spool replacement.
• Review drawings, P&IDs, isometrics, datasheets, vendor docs, and procedures for technical readiness.
• Coordinate isolation, spading, shutdown requirements, and permit-to-work documentation.
• Ensure availability of valves, piping components, gaskets, bolting, fittings, consumables, tools, and lifting gear before offshore mobilization.
• Lead preparation activities for shutdown and campaign-driven mechanical maintenance scopes.
• Coordinate offshore contractors and vendors during execution phases.
• Support mechanical integrity initiatives and replacement of deteriorated piping systems and components.
• Ensure compliance with flange management, bolting integrity, pressure testing, hydrotesting, leak testing, and mechanical completion.
