Job summary

Swan Global seeks a Mechanical Supervisor Offshore Shutdown to lead mechanical activities during offshore shutdowns in Qatar. The role requires overseeing technicians and contractors, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence.

Responsibilities include supervising valve replacements, pump overhauls, and piping repairs, while enforcing HSE policies and conducting toolbox talks. Experience with SAP/CMMS is preferred and rotations are 6 weeks on/6 weeks off.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in mechanical engineering.
• OSHA/NEBOSH, COSS, or equivalent certifications.
• 8+ years in oil/gas with 3+ years offshore shutdowns/turnarounds.
• Experience with rotating equipment, static equipment, and piping.

Responsibilities

• Oversee mechanical activities during offshore shutdowns.
• Supervise teams in valve replacements, pump overhauls, piping repairs and turbine maintenance.
• Ensure work aligns with shutdown schedule and critical path.
• Enforce HSE policies (PTW, LOTO, confined space).
• Conduct toolbox talks, risk assessments and safety inspections.
• Verify mechanical work meets engineering standards (ASME, API, ANSI).
• Oversee NDT and hydrostatic tests.
• Liaise with engineers, planners and other disciplines.
• Report daily progress to Shutdown Manager.
