Job summary

Madre Integrated Engineering in Doha, Qatar seeks a LAN and Radio Telecommunications Commissioning Engineer to plan, supervise, and execute installation, testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and handover of telecom systems on offshore and onshore facilities.

You will coordinate FAT/SAT, develop procedures, review drawings, and manage resources, HSE compliance, and SIMOPS with clients, vendors, and multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• 12–15 years telecom commissioning experience, including 8–10 years in onshore/offshore oil & gas facilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and execute installation, testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and handover of telecom systems.
• Perform troubleshooting and commissioning of LAN/WAN networks, fibre-optic cabling, radio, microwave, network-management, and vessel-safety systems.
• Coordinate FAT, SAT, system integration testing, performance testing, and final acceptance activities.
• Prepare, review, and approve drawings, test procedures, method statements, and contractor deliverables.
• Manage commissioning activities for FEED and EPIC greenfield and brownfield projects, from engineering through handover.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, vendors, and multidisciplinary teams while managing resources, schedules, HSE compliance, HAZID, and SIMOPS requirements.

LAN and Radio Telecommunications Commissioning Engineer

Plan, supervise, and execute the installation, testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and handover of telecommunications systems.

Perform troubleshooting and commissioning of LAN/WAN networks, fibre-optic structured cabling, VHF/UHF/TETRA radio, microwave, network-management, and vessel-safety systems.

Conduct and coordinate FAT, SAT, system integration testing, performance testing, and final acceptance activities.

Prepare, review, and approve engineering drawings, technical documents, test procedures, method statements, and contractor deliverables.

Manage commissioning activities for FEED and EPIC greenfield and brownfield projects, from engineering through project handover.

Coordinate with clients, contractors, vendors, and multidisciplinary teams while managing resources, schedules, technical issues, HSE compliance, HAZID, and SIMOPS requirements.

Requirements

Minimum 12-15 years of telecommunications commissioning experience, including at least 8-10 years in onshore or offshore oil and gas facilities.

Strong technical expertise in LAN/WAN networks, fibre-optic structured cabling, VHF/UHF/TETRA radio, microwave systems, network-management systems, and vessel-safety systems.

Proven experience in FEED and EPIC greenfield and brownfield projects, including engineering-document review, FAT, SAT, installation, commissioning, and handover.

Strong communication, technical writing, coordination, planning, and resource-management skills, with proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Project, Visio, AutoCAD, and Navisworks. Valid BOSIET/FOET with CA-EBS and Basic H2S certification is preferred, along with the ability to travel and work at client locations worldwide.
