Job summary

Madre Integrated Engineering is seeking a Telecommunications Commissioning Engineer - Offshore to lead installation, testing, and handover of telecom systems on offshore oil & gas projects in Qatar. You will coordinate FAT/SAT, review docs, and drive commissioning from site execution to project handover.

The role requires a Bachelor in Electronics & Communications Engineering, 12–15 years in telecom commissioning, offshore experience, FEED/EPIC exposure, and valid HSE certifications with travel

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering.
• 12–15 years telecom commissioning experience, with 8–10 years in onshore/offshore oil and gas facilities.
• FEED and EPIC greenfield/brownfield telecom engineering, installation, testing, commissioning, handover.
• Strong knowledge of CCTV, ACS, PA/GA, PABX, IP telephony, UHF/VHF, telemetry, AIS; proficient in MS Office, MS Project, Visio, AutoCAD, Navisworks.
• Excellent communication, coordination, technical writing, planning, and leadership; willing to travel to client sites worldwide.
• Must have BOSIET/FOET with CA-EBS and Basic H2S certification.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and execute installation, testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and handover of telecom systems.
• Coordinate FAT and SAT activities for CCTV, ACS, PA/GA, PABX, IP telephony, UHF/VHF radio, telemetry, AIS.
• Prepare, review, and approve drawings, technical documents, method statements, test procedures, and contractor deliverables.
• Manage commissioning from engineering stage through site execution, integration, troubleshooting, acceptance, and handover.
• Ensure compliance with project specs, standards, HSE, and risk management, including HAZID and SIMOPS.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, vendors, and multidisciplinary teams; manage site resources and schedules.
