Job summary

Employment in Doha, Qatar is seeking an L2 Support Engineer for SCATS & Tolling Systems, providing operational and technical support in a mission-critical ITS environment. The role is on-site, full-time with 24/7 rotational shifts in Roads Management Centre.

The candidate will monitor systems, troubleshoot incidents, manage backups, and collaborate with vendors and infrastructure teams to ensure uptime and KPI targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT/CS or related field.
• 5–8 years in L1/L2 IT or OT operations support, preferably ITS/Traffic systems.
• Hands-on VMware experience: vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, SAN/HCI, VxRail.
• Experience with enterprise platforms like SAP S/4HANA and CRM systems.
• Knowledge of ITIL, incident and change management, SLA-driven operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide L2 operational and technical support for SCATS and Tolling back-office applications, databases and supporting infrastructure.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Proactively monitor system health, live signal performance, faults and transaction processing.
• Troubleshoot application, infrastructure, controller and detector-related incidents.
• Diagnose and resolve L2 incidents and escalate to L3 or OEMs when required.
• Monitor and validate system backups and recovery procedures.
• Maintain configuration records and support release, patch and change management.
• Ensure integrity of end-to-end tolling transaction flows.
