Job summary

RISE Enterprise is seeking a Restaurant Steward to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and organization across the kitchen, storage, and service areas. The role supports front-of-house and back-of-house operations under the Restaurant Manager or Head Chef.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Good physical stamina and ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with basic knowledge of hygiene and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Wash, sanitize, and store all crockery, cutlery, glassware, and kitchen utensils.
• Operate and maintain dishwashing machines and cleaning equipment, ensuring proper use of detergents and chemicals.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, walls, equipment, and storage areas through regular sweeping, mopping, and deep-cleaning.
• Ensure the timely and organized replenishment of clean equipment and service items to kitchen and service stations during operating hours.
• Monitor stock levels of cleaning supplies and chemicals, and report shortages or replenishment needs to the Restaurant Manager.
• Handle and store all kitchen equipment, glassware, and chinaware with care to minimize breakage and loss.
• Support kitchen and service staff during peak hours by promptly clearing, collecting, and returning used items to the dishwashing area.
• Follow all food safety, hygiene, and health and safety regulations, including proper waste segregation and disposal procedures.
