Job summary

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts EMEA in Doha, Qatar is seeking a Kitchen Steward to maintain cleanliness and proper storage of china, glass, and silver, and support sanitation across kitchen and storage areas. This role involves assisting with food storage, rotation, and general kitchen upkeep.

Responsibilities include heavy cleaning of ovens and equipment, operating dishwashing systems, returning items to storage, and assisting with buffet setup and banquet service as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year as a Kitchen Steward in hospitality or restaurant operations.
• Physically fit and able to work in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and orderliness in kitchens, back dock, dumpster and utility work areas.
• Heavy duty cleaning of ovens, grills, sinks, walls, floors, walk-in refrigerators and freezers and other heavy kitchen equipment.
• Maintain clean and sanitary environment with knowledge of proper handling, storage, and sanitation.
• Operate the dishwashing equipment to ensure that all china, glass, and silver are cleaned thoroughly and sanitation is maintained.
• Return all clean china, glass, and silver to its proper storage location using care to minimize breakage.
• Follow the proper procedures in the breakdown, cleaning and reassembling of all kitchen equipment, as needed.
