Job summary

Rise Enterprise in Doha, Qatar, seeks a driven Junior Sous Chef to support pastry management and daily operations across the pastry and bakery sections. You will assist the Sous Chef Pastry with staff supervision, scheduling, and quality control, and step in to lead the section during their absence.

This role suits an experienced pastry chef ready to grow into a full pastry management position, with a diploma in pastry/bakery and 6–8 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma in pastry or bakery required.
• 6–8 years pastry/bakery experience, including Senior Chef de Partie or similar.
• Strong leadership, organization and communication under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations across pastry and bakery sections.
• Supervise and schedule Chef de Partie and junior pastry staff.
• Check pastry quality, presentation and consistency during service.
• Assist with stock control, ordering and cost management for pastry.
• Uphold food safety, hygiene, and cleaning standards across pastry.
• Support recruitment, training and performance feedback for pastry staff.
• Step in for Sous Chef Pastry during absences and ensure smooth daily service.
• Lead pastry section management and mentoring for junior staff.
