Job summary

Chedi Hospitality is seeking a Commis Chef to join our kitchen team in Doha. The role requires 1 year of experience as a Commis Chef or 2 years as an Apprentice in a hotel or restaurant, with basic culinary skills and strong hygiene knowledge.

You will work across kitchen sections, supporting cooks and maintaining brand standards. Responsibilities include food preparation, station setup, quality checks, and buffet presentation.

Qualifications

• 1 year work experience as Commis Chef or 2 years as Apprentice in a hotel or restaurant with good standards
• Basic culinary skills
• Good hygiene knowledge

Responsibilities

• Follows brand minimum kitchen standards and supports other staff to ensure hotel guest satisfaction
• Washes, peels, cuts, and seeds vegetables and fruits; cleans, cuts, and prepares meats, poultry, and seafood
• Assists in food preparation, breading, sauces, and dessert prep as required
• Carves meats and portions foods for service; sets up buffet presentations
• Maintains cleanliness and hygiene of work areas, equipment and utensils; stores foods correctly
• Assists in quality control and ensures safe handling of all ingredients
• Provides courteous, professional service and handles guest inquiries as needed
• Attends trainings and adheres to hotel policies for health and safety
