Job summary

AimGulf in Doha is seeking a Full Time Commis to support the kitchen team in preparing and presenting meals according to menu specifications. You will assist senior chefs, maintain mise-en-place, and uphold hygiene and food safety standards throughout the shift.

Ideal candidates will have up to 2 years of experience and a high school qualification. The role offers full-time employment with opportunities to grow within a classic airline catering environment in Qatar.

Qualifications

• High school qualification is required.
• Basic food hygiene skills required.
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
• Reading and writing skills required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food in a fast and efficient manner.
• Collect task information and direction from the manager on duty at the start of the shift.
• Assist the section Chef to complete all assigned tasks.
• Complete food mise-en-place and ingredients to be ready for Chefs before cooking.
• Ensure mise-en-place is carried out as per standard recipe specifications.
• Assist in hygiene and grooming standards and ensure they are followed.
• Assist in ensuring basic food safety standards are followed for the assigned job.
• Follow FIFO procedures for food handling of raw materials and processed food.
