Alfardan Corporation in Doha, Qatar is seeking a motivated Commis Chef to support the kitchen team in preparing and presenting high-quality dishes while upholding food safety standards.

You will follow recipes under the guidance of senior chefs, maintain a clean and organized workspace, assist with prep and plating, and collaborate closely with colleagues during service.

Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and holidays may be required.

Formación

• Previous kitchen experience or culinary training preferred; entry-level considered.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen hygiene.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen and follow instructions.
• Good teamwork, communication, and time-management skills.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and safely handle kitchen equipment.
• Relevant food safety training or certification is an advantage.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, chopping, weighing, and portioning as required.
• Assist with cooking and plating dishes according to recipes and kitchen standards.
• Keep workstations, equipment, and storage areas clean and organized.
• Follow food hygiene, health, and safety procedures in line with applicable Qatar regulations.
• Store ingredients correctly, label items, and monitor freshness and expiry dates.
• Support stock rotation and inform the supervisor when supplies are running low.
• Work collaboratively with kitchen colleagues during service and preparation.
• Follow instructions from the Chef de Partie, Sous Chef, and Head Chef.
• Help minimize food waste and use kitchen resources responsibly.
