Job summary

InterContinental Hotels Group seeks an Assistant IT Manager for voco Doha Central, a pre‑opening hotel in central Doha. You will lead day‑to‑day tech operations and help implement, maintain and optimize our IT infrastructure to support exceptional guest experiences.

You’ll support cybersecurity, system upgrades, and vendor coordination while ensuring services meet hotel standards. A strong background in networks, servers, and hotel systems is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant IT experience, including supervisory or specialist role, preferably in hospitality.
• Knowledge of networking, server administration, cybersecurity, and IT support services.
• Experience with hotel systems such as PMS, POS, and other hospitality applications is an advantage.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• A proactive mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.

Responsibilities

• Managing the day‑to‑day operation of hotel technology systems, networks, hardware, and software.
• Assisting with pre‑opening setup, installation, testing, and commissioning of IT infrastructure and systems.
• Providing technical support and troubleshooting for hotel colleagues and departments.
• Monitoring system performance and ensuring minimal downtime across hotel operations.
• Supporting cybersecurity, data protection, and compliance with IT policies and standards.
• Managing user accounts, system access, and IT asset inventories.
• Assisting with vendor coordination, system upgrades, and maintenance activities.
• Supporting hotel systems including PMS, POS, IPTV, telephony, Wi‑Fi, and back‑office applications.
• Maintaining accurate IT documentation, records, and backup procedures.
• Assisting in development and implementation of technology solutions to improve operations and guest satisfaction.
