Job summary

voco Doha Central seeks an Information Technology Specialist to ensure our technology systems run smoothly and to support colleagues and guests with expert IT service.

You will install, maintain, and troubleshoot IT infrastructure and systems, including PMS/POS integrations, in a dynamic hospitality setting in Doha.

Qualifications

• What we need from you: Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field.
• Experience in IT support/helpdesk or systems administration within hospitality preferred.
• Knowledge of hardware, software, networking, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Familiarity with hospitality systems such as PMS and POS is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line technical support for hardware, software, network, and system issues.
• Assist with setup, configuration, and maintenance of hotel IT infrastructure and equipment.
• Support PMS, POS, Wi-Fi, IPTV, telephony, and back-office applications.
• Monitor system performance and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Maintain user accounts, access permissions, and IT asset inventories.
• Assist with backups, software updates, and security procedures.
• Coordinate with vendors for maintenance and support.
• Ensure compliance with technology standards and cybersecurity requirements.
• Maintain records of support requests and IT configurations.
• Assist with pre-opening technology projects and implementations.

Every day is different,but you’ll mostly be:

• Providing first-line technical support for hardware, software, network, and system-related issues.
• Assisting with the setup, configuration, and maintenance of hotel IT infrastructure and equipment.
• Supporting hotel systems including PMS, POS, Wi-Fi, IPTV, telephony, and back-office applications.
• Monitoring system performance and resolving technical issues in a timely manner.
• Maintaining user accounts, access permissions, and IT asset inventories.
• Assisting with system backups, software updates, and security procedures.
• Coordinating with vendors and service providers for equipment maintenance and support.
• Ensuring compliance with IHG technology standards, policies, and cybersecurity requirements.
• Maintaining accurate records of support requests, system configurations, and IT documentation.
• Supporting pre-opening technology projects and system implementations.

What we need from you

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Previous experience in an IT support, helpdesk, or systems administration role, preferably within hospitality.
• Knowledge of computer hardware, software, networking, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Familiarity with hospitality systems such as PMS and POS is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• A proactive and service-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail.
