Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts in Doha seeks a Learning & Development professional to lead the property's L&D strategy and global training programs. You will design an annual learning plan, implement IHG University, and ensure compliant, brand-aligned training across departments.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Hospitality/HR/Business and at least 3 years in L&D or HR within hospitality, with strong communication and facilitation skills to coach departmental trainers and support career development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, HR, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Learning & Development, Training, or Human Resources in hospitality.
• Strong communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of hotel operations, guest experience standards, and quality management practices.
• Experience with learning management systems is an advantage.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to influence and collaborate with colleagues at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Drive the property Learning & Development strategy aligned to business priorities and service ambition.
• Conduct a structured Learning Needs Analysis and translate insights into an annual learning plan.
• Own the implementation and ongoing effectiveness of IHG University across the property.
• Ensure all mandatory, brand, and role-based learning pathways are deployed, tracked, and completed.
• Facilitate leadership development journeys for supervisors, managers, and senior leaders using approved content.
• Support PDPs and succession planning with department heads.
• Lead a Departmental Trainer framework to ensure learning is delivered and reinforced within departments.
• Train, coach, and support departmental trainers for consistency and confidence.
• Coordinate onboarding, departmental training, and mandatory compliance programs.
• Identify development opportunities and career growth plans with colleagues and leaders.
• Monitor training completion and maintain accurate learning records.
• Promote a culture of engagement, learning, and continuous improvement across the hotel.
