Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts in Doha is seeking a Learning & Development professional to lead the property's training strategy, align with business priorities, and drive a culture of growth. You will manage IHG University adoption and ensure compliance with brand and role-based learning.

The role emphasizes partnering with department heads, coaching departmental trainers, coordinating onboarding, and maintaining accurate training records while delivering engaging programs for colleagues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, HR, or Business Administration.
• Minimum 3 years of Learning & Development, Training, or HR experience.
• Hospitality industry experience preferred.
• Strong communication, facilitation, and presentation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Drive the property's Learning & Development strategy aligned to business priorities, brand expectations, and service ambition.
• Conduct a structured Learning Needs Analysis and translate insights into an annual learning plan and calendar.
• Own the implementation, adoption, and ongoing effectiveness of IHG University across the property.
• Ensure all mandatory, brand, and role-based learning pathways are actively deployed, tracked, and completed.
• Facilitate leadership development journeys for supervisors, managers, and senior leaders using approved IHG learning content.
• Support PDPs and succession planning by identifying development priorities for high-potential talent in partnership with department heads.
• Lead and sustain a strong Departmental Trainer framework that enables learning to be delivered and reinforced within departments.
• Train, coach, and support departmental trainers to ensure consistency, confidence, and effectiveness.
• Coordinating onboarding, departmental training, and mandatory compliance programs.
• Supporting colleagues and leaders in identifying development opportunities and career growth plans.
• Monitor training completion and maintain accurate learning records.
• Promoting a culture of engagement, learning, and continuous improvement across the hotel.
