Job summary

The Chedi Katara Hotel & Resort in Doha seeks an Accounts Executive to support daily Finance operations, ensuring accurate processing, recording, and reconciliation of financial transactions in line with hotel standards.

Ideal candidates have a Finance/Accounting background, 2+ years in a similar role, and familiarity with Opera/Micros and Excel. The role emphasizes integrity, confidentiality, and collaboration with Finance teams.

Qualifications

• University degree or diploma in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Business Administration, or Hospitality/Tourism Management.
• Certification such as CA, ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent would be an advantage.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Accounts Executive or in a similar Finance/Accounting role.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and processes supplier invoices with supporting documents and approvals.
• Records supplier invoices, prepares payment documentation, and reconciles supplier statements.
• Prepares customer invoices, records receipts, updates outstanding balances, and assists with debt collection.
• Verifies daily revenue from Rooms, Food & Beverage, Spa, and other hotel operations against Opera, Micros, and reports.
• Reconciles daily cash, bank deposits, and credit-card transactions; follows up on discrepancies.
• Prepares journal entries, expense allocations, and reconciliations for month-end closing.
• Assists with accruals, balance-sheet reconciliations, schedules, and supporting docs for month-end closing.
• Maintains organized accounting records and supports the Financial Controller with reporting.
• Coordinates with hotel departments to obtain required financial information and documentation.
• Maintains confidentiality and compliance with policies and controls.
• Participates in training and supports teamwork across Finance.
