Job summary

Qatar Airways Group is seeking an experienced digital technology leader to oversee the delivery and ongoing support of passenger-facing digital platforms at Hamad International Airport. You will lead a team of developers and designers, shaping the technology strategy and roadmap in collaboration with key stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with a minimum of 8 years in IT/delivery.
• Experience leading IT projects including large technology programmes.
• Experience in application development, implementation and support management.
• Experience managing software development teams and digital solution delivery.
• Experience delivering B2C web or mobile products.
• Experience in Agile delivery environments.
• Strong programme-management and enterprise system-support capabilities.
• Experience managing vendors, hosted services and SLAs.
• Strong team leadership, stakeholder-management and communication skills.
• Ability to delegate, set direction and manage team workflow.
• Strong mentoring and coaching skills to develop team capability.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Bachelor’s in related discipline preferred; ITIL certification advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, implementation and ongoing support of passenger-facing digital platforms.
• Manage a team of software developers and designers, setting clear priorities and ensuring high-quality delivery.
• Develop and maintain technology strategy and roadmap with stakeholders.
• Translate business requirements into digital capabilities to improve passenger experience.
• Apply Agile methods to deliver solutions efficiently.
• Introduce and support AI-enabled software engineering practices.
• Take end-to-end ownership of digital solutions from development to maintenance.
• Ensure availability of critical platforms in a 24/7 airport environment.
• Lead response to major incidents and coordinate restoration of services.
• Manage technology programmes, ensuring delivery within timelines and budgets.
• Manage vendors, hosted services and SLAs, with governance structures.
• Develop business cases, cost estimates, budgets, investment priorities.
• Build relationships across business and tech teams for effective decision-making.
• Develop team capability through direction, coaching and knowledge sharing.
