Job summary

Georgetown University–Qatar seeks an Associate Director for Building Operations, Safety and Security to oversee facilities management, safety, and security services at the Doha campus. The role reports to the Chief Facilities Management Officer and drives strategic planning, budget oversight, and performance improvements.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s in engineering and CFM/FMP; NEBOSH IGC and LEED/SFP are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field required.
• IFMA CFM/FMP certification or equivalent preferred.
• NEBOSH IGC or equivalent preferred.
• Experience leading facilities operations in higher education or similar.

Responsibilities

• Lead building operations, maintenance, safety and security across GU-Q campus.
• Oversee budgets, contracts, performance, and compliance with local/international standards.
• Develop cross-functional leadership capabilities and prepare succession for CFMO.
• Coordinate with Qatar Foundation and university stakeholders on service delivery.
