Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking a GIS Pre-Sales Technical Specialist in Qatar to design, demonstrate, and present GIS-based solutions that align with client objectives. You will bridge business requirements with technical execution, develop proposals, lead technical workshops, and deliver compelling product demonstrations.

Responsibilities include engaging clients to translate needs into GIS concepts, architecting end-to-end GIS solutions, and supporting proposals and bids.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Geomatics, Computer Science, or related field.
• 3–8 years of experience in GIS consulting, technical pre-sales, solution architecture, or complex implementation.
• Proficiency in enterprise GIS platforms (Esri ArcGIS, QGIS) and location intelligence technologies.
• Proven ability to author high-quality RFP/RFQ responses, design solution architectures, and lead technical client presentations.
• Bilingual fluency in Arabic and English.

• Description : Job Purpose: To support the sales team by designing, demonstrating, and presenting GIS-based solutions that solve complex customer challenges. The specialist bridges business requirements and technical execution by developing proposals, leading technical workshops, delivering compelling product demonstrations, and ensuring proposed solutions align with client objectives. Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Engagement & Solution Consulting: Engage with clients to discover operational challenges and translate their needs into actionable GIS concepts. Act as a trusted advisor on spatial intelligence, industry trends, and GIS best practices throughout the sales cycle.
  • GIS Solution Design: Architect end-to-end GIS solutions leveraging enterprise, web, mobile, and spatial analytics platforms. Define workflows, integrations, technical concepts, and implementation approaches tailored to client environments.
  • Demonstrations & Proofs of Concept (PoCs): Build and present tailored product demonstrations, workshops, and PoCs that highlight real-world use cases and illustrate clear business value.
  • Proposal & Bid Support: Author technical sections for RFP/RFQ responses, RFIs, and Statements of Work (SOW). Define scope, methodologies, assumptions, and effort estimations alongside delivery teams.
  • Industry Insights & Internal Collaboration: Stay current on spatial technologies across sectors (e.g., smart cities, utilities, government, telecom). Partner with sales, engineering, and product teams to refine go-to-market strategies and build reusable assets.
• Required Qualifications:

  • Experience: 3–8 years of experience in GIS consulting, technical pre-sales, solution architecture, or complex implementation.
