Job summary

Mackinnon Bruce is seeking a General Manager for Qatar to drive full P&L responsibility, oversee strategy and lead multi-functional teams in a growing paints and coatings business. The role demands extensive experience in senior commercial leadership with proven profitability track record in the Qatar market.

The successful candidate will shape the local business, manage budgets, and work with Group Management to execute growth plans across the region.

Qualifications

15+ years' progressive commercial experience in industrial markets such as paints & coatings or building materials.
Previous roles as General Manager, Country Manager or Commercial Director with P&L responsibility.
Strong financial acumen including budgeting, forecasting and working capital management.

Responsibilities

Own the full P&L for the Qatar business, driving revenue, margins and cash.
Develop and execute the annual strategy, budget and operating plan.
Drive growth through market development, key-account management and channel development.
Identify new customers, segments and product opportunities in Qatar and the region.
Lead pricing, product mix and customer profitability initiatives.
Build and maintain relationships with major customers, distributors and strategic stakeholders.
Provide leadership across functions (Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, HR, R&D).
Oversee manufacturing/supply chain performance to support growth.
Maintain budgetary control over costs, receivables and working capital.
Develop a high-performing local management team and represent the business with group leadership.
