Job summary

voco Doha Central, a pre-opening hotel in Doha, seeks an Assistant Events Manager to oversee events from enquiry to execution. You will collaborate with clients and internal teams, ensuring seamless planning, exceptional service, and meticulous attention to detail for every occasion.

In this role, you will lead conferences, weddings, and corporate events, coordinate with multiple departments, and drive revenue through upselling while maintaining brand standards and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Events Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Events, Catering Sales, Conference Services, or similar hospitality role.
• Strong organizational & project management skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead conferences, meetings, weddings, social events, and corporate functions from enquiry to execution.
• Build relationships with clients to understand needs and exceed expectations.
• Prepare proposals, contracts, banquet event orders, and event documentation.
• Coordinate with Food & Beverage, Culinary, Rooms, Engineering, and other teams.
• Conduct site inspections and client meetings to showcase facilities and capabilities.
• Lead revenue generation through upselling opportunities and effective planning.
• Monitor event details, timelines, and budgets for accuracy.
• Ensure events align with brand standards and client expectations.
• Handle guest feedback and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
• Support pre-opening sales initiatives and event showcases.
