Job summary

Rosewood Doha seeks an experienced Events Operations Manager to lead and oversee the daily functioning of the events team, ensuring flawless execution of conferences, weddings, and corporate gatherings at a luxury property in Doha.

You will coordinate cross-functional departments, brief and mentor staff, and maintain the highest standards of service and presentation across all venues, while driving efficiency, cost control, and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Support the daily operations of the Events department and ensure smooth execution of all functions.
• Coordinate and supervise conferences, weddings, social events, VIP functions, and outdoor events.
• Ensure all event setups are completed according to the Banquet Event Order (BEO) and operational standards.
• Conduct pre-event briefings and post-event follow-ups.
• Monitor event flow and resolve operational challenges promptly.
• Ensure all venues are maintained to the highest presentation standards.
• Supervise Event Supervisors, Team Leaders, Casual Staff, and Banquet Associates.
• Lead daily team briefings and allocate manpower effectively.
• Coach, train, and develop team members.
• Assist in recruitment, onboarding, and performance evaluations.
• Promote a positive and collaborative working environment.
• Act as the operational contact during events to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Respond professionally to guest feedback and resolve complaints.
• Build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Review BEOs and attend operational meetings.
• Coordinate with Culinary, Stewarding, Engineering, Housekeeping, Security, Sales & Marketing, and Front Office.
• Ensure AV, furniture, linen, décor, and staffing requirements are arranged in advance.
• Support labor scheduling while controlling payroll costs.
• Monitor departmental expenses and assist in achieving budget targets.
• Assist with inventory management and operating equipment control.
• Prepare operational reports as required.
