Job summary

Chedi Hospitality is seeking a skilled kitchen professional to join our hotel kitchen team in Doha. The role emphasizes maintaining high cooking standards, accurate mise-en-place, and adherence to HACCP and hygiene guidelines.

Responsibilities include supervising junior staff, assisting in various kitchen sections, and supporting cost control while delivering exceptional guest dining experiences. Candidates should be able to collaborate across departments in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in a hotel/restaurant.
• Knowledge of kitchen hygiene, food safety, and health and safety standards.
• Strong guest relations and communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and kitchen operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily food production in the assigned kitchen section, ensuring mise-en-place and finished dishes meet standards.
• Comply with health and safety regulations, HACCP principles and food safety procedures.
• Prepare daily mise-en-place and assist with production in main or satellite kitchens as required.
• Guide and support junior staff in daily tasks and assist with buffet setups and special functions.
• Ensure dishes follow standard recipes and are consistent across the section.
• Follow supervisor instructions to complete tasks efficiently.
• Assist Chef de Partie to ensure operations comply with policies and minimum standards.
• Regularly check expiry dates, labeling, and storage of food items.
• Support food cost control by reducing waste and using ingredients efficiently.
• Assist in training junior culinary staff in required skills.
• Work in other kitchen sections as needed or directed.
