Job summary

Norconsult Telematics in Doha, Qatar, seeks an Acceptance Handover Manager to plan, control, and close out data centre and critical infrastructure handovers. You will coordinate FAT, SAT, and IST, witness tests, compile documentation, and ensure a ready operations team for sign-off.

The role requires a bachelor’s in electrical or mechanical engineering, 10+ years in construction/testing/handovers, and fluent Arabic and English communication; CxA or PMP is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• 10+ years in construction, testing and commissioning, or handover of major projects.
• At least 5 years in acceptance or handover management for data centres or mega infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of data centre critical systems and testing requirements.
• Experience with staged commissioning and integrated systems testing.
• Strong QA/QC documentation and handover procedures.
• CxA or PMP certification is an advantage.
• Fluency in Arabic with strong English communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the acceptance and handover plan for data centre and related facilities.
• Review FAT, SAT, and IST plans for alignment with acceptance criteria.
• Coordinate FAT, SAT, IST, and witness tests for critical systems.
• Verify completed works against drawings and contract requirements before acceptance.
• Manage snagging and punch-list, track progress, and close out items.
• Compile and review acceptance documentation, warranties, O&M manuals, and training records.
• Chair acceptance meetings and track actions to closure.
• Plan phased handovers and manage interfaces between construction, testing, commissioning and operations.
• Ensure training of client operations staff is included in handover requirements.
• Prepare and issue acceptance certificates and close-out reports.
