Job summary

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Commis I or in a similar culinary role.
• Hands-on experience in Indian cuisine, preferably in an Indian restaurant.
• Knowledge of authentic Indian cuisine, including regional specialties and traditional methods.
• Familiarity with diverse Indian ingredients, spices, and flavour profiles.
• Ability to maintain a clean, organized workstation and work under pressure.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and willingness to develop culinary skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in kitchen operations to ensure food is served per pre-determined methods.
• Support plating and presentation according to hotel standards.
• Maintain consistency in taste, quality, portioning, and presentation during busy service.
• Work in a paced environment while multitasking and prioritizing tasks.
