Job summary

Ecojob in Doha, Qatar is seeking a seasoned Chef de Cuisine to lead our luxury hotel kitchen. You will oversee menu development, cooking, plating and presentation while ensuring consistency and the highest quality across all dishes.

The role requires at least 5 years as a Chef de Cuisine or Executive Chef in high-end settings, strong international cuisine knowledge (African dishes preferred), team leadership, and excellent cost and inventory control.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Chef de Cuisine or Executive Chef in a high-end hotel or restaurant.
• Strong knowledge of international cuisine with focus on African dishes preferred.
• Ability to lead and motivate a large team of chefs and kitchen staff.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage food costs and inventory.
• Valid work permit for Qatar preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations including menu planning, food preparation, cooking, plating, and presentation.
• Ensure all dishes are prepared according to recipes and standards set by the hotel.
• Train and develop kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen at all times.
• Monitor food costs and inventory levels to ensure profitability without compromising on quality.
• Collaborate with other departments such as F&B, purchasing, and sales to create new menus for special events or promotions.
