Job summary

Raffles Hotels & Resorts Doha seeks an Assistant Director of Food & Beverage – Banquets to lead the Banquets & Events operation across Raffles & Fairmont Doha, delivering luxury experiences for conferences, weddings, and high-profile events.

Reporting to the Director of Food & Beverage, you will drive revenue, optimize resources, and ensure exceptional service standards while collaborating with Sales, Culinary, Finance, and Rooms teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 6–8 years of Food & Beverage experience in luxury or five-star hospitality, including senior Banquets leadership experience.
• Proven experience managing large-scale banquets, weddings, conferences, and corporate events.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to drive revenue, profitability, and cost efficiency.
• Excellent leadership and team-development skills, with experience managing multicultural teams.
• Strong knowledge of luxury service standards, banquet operations, and guest experience.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to manage complex, high-volume operations while maintaining service excellence.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance management.
• Experience with international luxury hotel brands is an advantage.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Banquets & Events operation across Raffles & Fairmont Doha.
• Drive revenue, profitability, and cost efficiency for banquets.
• Collaborate with Sales & Events to maximize opportunities and revenue.
• Oversee planning and delivery of luxury weddings, conferences, and events.
• Champion service standards and guest experience across all events.
• Lead and develop the Banquets leadership and teams.
• Ensure seamless event planning with Culinary, Sales, Finance, Rooms, and Events teams.
• Monitor resources and processes to enhance efficiency and profitability.
• Drive innovation in event experiences, menus, and service concepts.
• Ensure compliance with brand standards, licensing, and safety requirements.
