Job summary

Rosewood Doha seeks an Accounts Payable Supervisor to manage vendor invoicing, voucher preparation, and payments, ensuring accuracy and timely processing within our luxury hospitality group. You will collaborate with Purchasing, Receiving, Cost Control and department heads to resolve discrepancies and maintain precise financial records.

The role reports to Finance and supports monthly closings, aging analysis, and accruals while upholding Rosewood’s service standards and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Develop a working knowledge of all accounting procedures in the Accounting Manual.
• Coordinate with section heads to prepare Journal Vouchers.
• Verify vendor invoices against Daily Receiving Summary and POs.
• Prepare Payable Vouchers and record expenses in the journal.
• Prepare and process payment checks.
• Stamp invoices as PAID before seeking signatures.
• Verify mailing addresses, amounts and signatures before sending checks.
• Mail payment checks with notices of payment to vendors.
• Review vendor invoices and follow up on inquiries.
• Review Petty Cash Payment List and entry in the Accounting System.
• Perform all Accounts Payable Sub Ledger bookings.
• Review supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare and reconcile the monthly Accounts Payable Aging Report.
• Review month-end accruals for GRNI and other accruals.
• Coordinate with Purchasing/Receiving/Cost Control to resolve variances.
• File supporting documents per retention policies and audit requirements.
• Assist in monthly financial statement preparation.
• Report any problems to a supervisor.
