Job summary

Orica is seeking a Field Trainer Specialist (Underground) to develop operational capability across our EMEA operations through practical, field-based training and coaching.

This hands-on role requires an experienced underground mining professional who can train operators, supervisors and local trainers using approved materials and best practices.

The position can be based in Lisbon or other major Orica locations in EMEA, with up to 50% travel to different sites, countries and cultures.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on underground mining experience with credibility to train others.
• Experience operating MCU or similar underground equipment.
• Strong safety leadership and incident-prevention mindset.
• Ability to translate technical concepts into practical learning.
• Strong English communication; reports using Excel/PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Deliver field-based operational training across EMEA.
• Provide hands-on coaching in underground environments.
• Train operators in MCU operation, charging, maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Support competency validation and capability development.
• Identify capability gaps with site leaders and plan practical training.
• Share best practices and report training progress regionally.
• Travel across EMEA up to 50%.
