Parfois in Porto is seeking a Cost Controller to join our Global Logistics & Transports team. You will lead data analysis, build dashboards (Power BI), and drive cost accuracy from origin to store across 1000 stores in 70 countries.

The role requires a university degree and 3+ years in a similar field, fluent English and Portuguese, strong analytical skills, and a hands-on attitude to improve service levels and efficiency.

Qualificações

  • University degree in business/engineering/economics or math.
  • Master's in accounting, management control or logistics preferred.
  • 3+ years in cost control, logistics, or retail environments.

Responsabilidades

  • Create and modify data sources, analytic models, dashboards and reports (PowerBI) aligned with performance needs.
  • Ensure accurate reporting, financial alignment and real‑time cost tracking vs forecasts.
  • Provide tools to help teams understand KPIs and costs.
  • Analyze end‑to‑end business cases using data and analytic models.
  • Collaborate with logistics, finance, IT, planning and retail teams to improve efficiency.
  • Support monthly/yearly accounting closings and Kaizen initiatives.

CHALLENGE:

Join our Global Logistics & Transports team in a fast-paced growing retail company and be a key element in optimizing our order fulfillment from origin to point of sales/final customers for about 1000 stores in 70 countries. Improving our operational costs, implementing strategies to achieve better service levels and efficiency through process optimization, metrics and KPIs development and constant improvement culture. We’re seeking an organized, analytic, and with hands‑on attitude, Cost Controller who will drive data innovation, accuracy and reliability in our supply chain analytics models.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • On a high level, creating, analyzing, defining and/or modifying data, source data, analytic models, dashboards, workflow, reporting (business reviews, metrics and KPIs mostly in PowerBI) according to performance/business needs factoring data reliability, financial consistency, service level, quality and real cost vs forecast-budget (and/or accruals).
  • In your day‑to‑day duties, you shall ensure at all times accurate, reliable and efficient reporting, financial alignment, performance follow‑up and costs real evolution vs forecast‑budgets and real time dashboards.
  • Providing useful, accurate and right tools to facilitate all teams to understand and acknowledge real performance, KPIs and costs involved.
  • Operations case studies analysis and conclusions delivery: gathering reliable data to provide end-to-end business cases, using analytic models and drawing conclusions.
  • Collaborating with other areas as one unit (logistics, finance, purchasing, IT, planning, distribution, expansion, retail and product management), maximizing synergies and efficiencies.
  • Supporting and leading actively the monthly/yearly accounting closing processes.
  • Supporting kaizen philosophy, methodology and people engagement.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • University Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics.
  • Master’s Degree in Accounting, Management Control, International Trade or Logistics (preferential)
  • 3+ years professional experience in similar job role, preferential in major distribution, retail, forwarders, or consumer goods environment
  • Strong analytical ability, results‑driven and people‑oriented
  • Excellent communication skills, in fluent English and Portuguese, with the ability to communicate at all levels of seniority within a large organization
  • Time flexibility, proactivity, ability to shift priorities according to business needs and strong responsibility awareness
