Decskill, an IT consulting company within the Astek Group, with a team across Lisbon, Porto and Madrid, is seeking a Data Engineer & Data Infrastructure Specialist to join a hands-on data team.

You will work with Python and SQL on a cloud-based Big Data platform (AWS), develop end-to-end features, participate in architecture decisions, and deploy production-ready solutions. Fluent English is mandatory, and independence is valued.

Qualificações

• Up to 5 years of professional experience in the role to be contracted.
• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with Python for data manipulation and processing.
• Experience with SQL.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Experience developing and/or operating applications in production environments.
• Experience with model deployment to production environments and model lifecycle management.
• Interest in and knowledge of Data Science.
• Knowledge of Git.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies, JIRA, and Confluence.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive mindset and strong initiative.
• Ability to work independently and autonomously.
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with a problem-solving mindset.
• Ability to independently research and identify solutions to technical challenges.

Responsabilidades

• Actively participate in the architecture discussions, defining the data flows and processes required for new features.
• Develop Proofs of Concept (PoCs) to validate technical approaches and solutions.
• Develop production-ready solutions and perform testing.
• Deploy solutions across development, quality assurance, and production environments.
• Monitor the initial operation of deployed solutions and perform debugging, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Document the features, solutions, and processes developed.
• Provide support with data extraction and exploratory data analysis.
• Collaborate with technical and business teams to identify and solve problems.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the quality, performance, and reliability of data solutions

We are looking for an Data Engineer & Data Infrastructure Specialist!

Mission: The ideal candidate has experience with Python and SQL and is capable of developing, operating, and maintaining data analytics applications on a cloud-based Big Data platform in AWS. The candidate should have an interest in Data Science, be able to work independently and proactively, and collaborate effectively within a small and dynamic team.
