The Constellation Technology Team provides a group-wide set of Technology Products and Services across the Constellation Automotive Group.

The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Azure Integration Tech Lead to provide technical leadership across our integration platforms, cloud-native services, and API ecosystem. This role combines hands-on engineering expertise with technical leadership, architectural governance, people management, and strategic decision-making.

The successful candidate will lead a team of integration engineers while remaining actively involved in the design and delivery of secure, scalable, resilient, and cost-effective integration solutions built on Microsoft Azure.

Working closely with Engineering, Product, Architecture, Security, and Platform teams, you will define technical direction, establish engineering best practices, and drive the adoption of modern cloud technologies, automation, platform engineering, and AI-assisted software delivery.

You will be responsible for ensuring integrations are reliable, observable, maintainable, and aligned with both business objectives and technical strategy.

Role Accountabilities:

• Lead the architecture, design, and delivery of enterprise integration solutions on Microsoft Azure.
• Provide technical and people leadership to a team of integration engineers, mentoring and developing talent.
• Drive best practices across API management, event-driven architectures, cloud-native integrations, and platform engineering.
• Champion modern engineering approaches including CI/CD, DevOps, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), automation, and AI-assisted development.
• Collaborate with Product, Architecture, Security, and Engineering stakeholders to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with business objectives.
• Promote operational excellence through observability, reliability, governance, and cost optimisation.

Relationships:

• Software Engineers: Lead and collaborate with a diverse team of software engineers to create first class solutions that support our services
• Product Owners: Work closely with product owners to align the team's work with product vision and strategic goals
• Heads of Product: Coordinate with heads of product to ensure the development efforts meet their expectations and contribute to the overall product strategy
• Engineering Management: Liaise with engineering management to facilitate efficient communication and collaboration within the organisation
• Architects: Collaborate with architects to ensure the technical design of the systems aligns with the company's architectural vision and best practices
• Customers: Maintain open lines of communication with internal and external customers, ensuring their needs are met and fostering long-term relationships

Knowledge and Experience:

• 7+ years' experience delivering enterprise integration solutions.
• Strong hands-on expertise with Azure Integration Services, including:
• API Management (APIM)
• Azure Functions
• Logic Apps
• Service Bus
• Event Grid/Event Hubs
• Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Storage Accounts
• Experience designing API-led, event-driven, and microservices architectures.
• Strong knowledge of Terraform, CI/CD, GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps, and cloud-native engineering practices.
• Proven experience leading and mentoring engineering teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Solid understanding of security and identity concepts, including OAuth2, OpenID Connect, Microsoft Entra ID, and secure Azure networking.

Nice to Have

• Experience with C#, .NET, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
• Exposure to Kafka, MuleSoft, or AWS.
• Azure certifications (Solutions Architect, Developer, or DevOps Engineer).
• Experience with Internal Developer Platforms, FinOps, or AI-enabled software delivery.
