Job summary

Shakers is seeking a Developer / Tech Lead to drive the automation agenda for the network security team. Although the title emphasizes leadership, the role remains heavily focused on software development, particularly in Python and Django.

You will lead development and automation initiatives, build integrations with NSX/Fortinet, and define testing methodologies while elevating the team's capabilities toward greater automation.

Qualifications

• 7–8+ years of software development experience.

What you will do

• Lead the team's development and automation initiatives from a technical standpoint.
• Build advanced integrations against the APIs of network and security appliances, such as NSX and Fortinet.
• Develop automation solutions and internal portals on a Python and Django stack.
• Define structured testing methodologies and set development guidelines and best practices.
• Push the operational baseline progressively towards automation.

What you need

• 7 to 8 years of experience or more.
• Strong software development background with solid command of Python. Experience with the Django framework is essential.
• Excellent ability to handle and integrate complex APIs.
• Solid networking and security fundamentals, enough to translate business requirements into code.
• A mindset focused on code quality, automated testing and continuous improvement.
• Professional English.

Nice to have

• Previous experience automating solutions such as VMware NSX, firewalls or proxies.
• French.

Full time, long term. Hybrid, 2 to 3 days per week on site, Porto or Lisbon.
