DBServices is seeking a Senior/Expert Technical Domain Lead – E-commerce in Maia, Portugal (Hybrid: 2 days onsite). You will own end-to-end technical delivery for the e-commerce domain, align architecture with multiple engineering teams, and drive the technical roadmap with Product and Business teams.

Lead cross-team collaboration, manage risks, and promote AI-assisted development and DevOps practices to accelerate time-to-production while maintaining architectural consistency and delivery

We are looking for a Senior/Expert Technical Domain Lead – E-commerce to act as the technical reference for a complex e-commerce domain, taking ownership of end-to-end technical delivery and ensuring architectural consistency across multiple engineering teams.

This role combines technical leadership, architecture, delivery, and cross-team coordination, working closely with Tech Leads, Product, Business, and other stakeholders to shape technical strategy and translate business priorities into scalable and sustainable solutions.

Location: Maia, Portugal — Hybrid (2 days per week onsite)

Tasks

• Take ownership of the end-to-end technical delivery of the e-commerce domain, covering development, quality, release, and operations.
• Coordinate Tech Leads and engineering teams, supporting architectural decisions, resolving technical conflicts, and maintaining alignment across teams.
• Define and drive the technical strategy and architectural direction of the e-commerce domain in collaboration with technical leadership.
• Build and manage the technical roadmap, working closely with Product and Business teams to translate business objectives into feasible technical initiatives.
• Proactively identify and manage technical and implementation risks, including architecture, dependencies, capacity, and delivery constraints.
• Resolve cross-team delivery challenges and dependencies, ensuring technical alignment and removing blockers that impact multiple teams.
• Balance technical execution with people, delivery, and process management.
• Organize and standardize shared engineering tools and practices, ensuring architectural guidelines are translated into reusable Skills and Rules.
• Drive the adoption of AI-assisted software development, including development harnesses, Skills/Rules, and coding agents.
• Promote and strengthen a DevOps operating model, enabling engineering teams to own the full lifecycle from development and quality through release and production operations.
• Support continuous improvement of engineering practices, reducing dependencies on silos and accelerating time-to-production.

Requirements

• Proven experience in technical leadership across multiple engineering teams, as a Senior Tech Lead, Engineering Manager, Technical Domain Lead, or equivalent role.
• Strong experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFRA), including architecture, customization, and operation within e-commerce environments.
• Experience with React in headless e-commerce architectures.
• Strong ability to combine technical depth with people and delivery leadership.
• Proven experience resolving cross-team technical and delivery challenges, including dependencies and conflicting technical priorities.
• Experience defining and communicating medium-term technical strategies aligned with Product and Business objectives.
• Ability to identify, communicate, and manage implementation risks throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Experience with AI-assisted development practices, such as development harnesses, Skills/Rules, and coding agents, or strong ability to quickly adopt these approaches.
• Solid understanding of DevOps practices and end-to-end engineering ownership.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with technical, functional, Product, and Business stakeholders.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Salesforce Service Cloud, Salesforce OMS, and/or Data 360.
• Previous experience in retail, e-commerce, or Health & Beauty environments.
• Experience with system integrations through API gateways, particularly Gravitee and/or Solace.
• Experience establishing shared engineering standards and practices across multiple teams.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Pragmatic approach to technical debt, balancing technical priorities with business initiatives.

• Strong understanding of business roadmaps and ability to translate them into appropriate technical solutions.
