Job summary

Aubay Portugal is seeking a Technical Business Analyst to join our banking IT team in Lisbon. You will execute integration and regression tests for wealth calculation rewrites, read Java code, and validate data flow across services and databases.

You will investigate discrepancies, document findings, and collaborate with developers and SMEs to resolve defects. A hybrid work model (2-3 days/week) supports flexible, sustained performance in a complex, regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years as a Technical Business Analyst or Level 3 Application Support Engineer in a banking IT environment.
• Strong understanding of architecture, data flows, interfaces, and dependencies across distributed and legacy components.
• Experience reading Java code, querying SQL, and correlating behavior with logs.
• Proven troubleshooting skills to investigate calculation discrepancies and anomalies.
• English proficiency at B2 level.

Responsibilities

• Execute integration and regression tests for the wealth calculation rewrite using dashboards and evidence.
• Investigate calculation differences end-to-end and identify root causes from dashboards to components.
• Understand architectures, interfaces, and dependencies across Java services, databases, and legacy systems.
• Read code, logs and docs to qualify defects and explain observed behaviour.
• Query application tables with SQL to validate inputs and reconcile data across systems.
• Document findings and collaborate with developers and SMEs for defect resolution and re-testing.
