Komodo Consulting in Porto is seeking a Tech Lead to work on a Banking Company project. You will own squad deliverables from planning to release and lead a high-performing engineering squad.

You will guide frontend and mobile architecture decisions, collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, and Platform teams, and promote modern CI/CD practices across the team.

Qualificações

• 6–10+ years of experience in software engineering, with a strong frontend focus.
• Minimum 4 years in technical leadership or team lead roles.
• Proven experience with React and React Native.
• Hands-on with state management (Redux, Zustand).
• Working knowledge of Azure Cloud and Azure DevOps.

• IT Team Augmentation — helping clients scale and strengthen their tech teams.

The Project

We are seeking a Tech Lead to work on a project for a Banking Company.

You will have the following responsibilities:

• Take full ownership of squad deliverables, coordinating all phases from planning to release while ensuring the team maintains a steady and reliable delivery rhythm;
• Build and lead a high-performing engineering squad, supporting individual growth, setting clear standards, and cultivating a culture of accountability and excellence;
• Serve as the technical authority within the squad, ensuring all solutions align with architectural guidelines, security requirements, and established engineering practices;
• Champion best-in-class engineering habits across the team, including robust code review processes, automated testing, and modern CI/CD workflows;
• Drive the design and development of web and mobile products, taking a hands‑on role in shaping frontend and mobile architecture decisions — from component structure to state management and platform integration;
• Bridge the gap between business requirements and technical execution, working alongside Product Owners, Architects, and Platform teams to deliver scalable and maintainable solutions;
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve team efficiency, promote modularity and reusability, and raise the overall quality bar across the codebase.

You need to have the following skills/experience:

• 6–10+ years of experience in software engineering, with a strong foundation in frontend technologies;
• A minimum of 4 years in a technical leadership or team lead capacity;
• Solid, production-proven experience with React and React Native;
• Hands‑on experience with state management approaches such as Redux, Zustand, or equivalent;
• Working knowledge of Azure Cloud and Azure DevOps;
• Good understanding of backend integration concepts, including microservices, APIs, event‑driven architectures, and both SQL and NoSQL databases;
• Experience with containerization and CI/CD tooling, namely Docker and Kubernetes;
• Background in Agile delivery environments, with comfort operating within Scrum frameworks.

Location

Porto (Hybrid - 3 days per week at the office).
