Devoteam Portugal is seeking a Lead Frontend Engineer to join our Nearshore team, working with a UK-based client in the Tech-led Facilities Management sector. You will define front-end architecture, drive technical excellence, and mentor engineers across sprints.

The role requires deep React.js expertise, strong state management skills, and a track record leading teams in a fast-paced environment. Fluency in English and a proactive, collaborative mindset are essential.

Qualificações

• 6+ years of front-end development experience with React.js.
• Experience with Redux or Context API for state management.
• RESTful API integration and modern front-end tools.
• Familiar with testing frameworks like Jest, RTL, or Cypress.
• AWS frontend services such as S3, CloudFront, Lambda@Edge.
• Ability to lead technical teams and conduct code reviews.
• Proficient with Git and version control workflows.
• Strong problem solving and attention to detail.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.

Job Description

We are currently looking for a Lead Frontend Engineer to join Devoteam Portugal's Nearshore team, working directly with an international client based in the UK within the Tech-led Facilities Management & Infrastructure Solutions sector. In this role, you will play a key part in defining front-end architecture and driving tech excellence.

Develop and maintain front‑end applications using React.js

Ensure code quality through best practices, testing, and performance optimization

Collaborate with backend teams to integrate APIs and services

Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning and code reviews

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner

Stay up to date with the latest React.js trends and ecosystem updates

Lead architectural frontend decisions and mentor junior/mid-level engineers within the team

Qualifications

Minimum 6years of experience in front‑end development, with a strong focus on React.js

Advanced experience with state management libraries (Redux, Context API, or similar)

Familiarity with RESTful APIs and modern front‑end development tools (Webpack, Babel, etc.)

Knowledge of testing frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library, or Cypress

Experience with AWS services applied to frontend (S3, CloudFront, Lambda@Edge, etc.)

Proven ability to lead technical teams, run code reviews, and establish engineering standards

Experience with Git and version control workflows

Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail

Fluent in English (written and spoken)
