HumanIT is seeking a Senior .NET Developer to join our engineering team in Porto, working hybrid (2 days in the office). You will own end-to-end features in a large-scale telecom platform, shaping architecture, delivering production-ready code, and mentoring junior engineers.

You will design distributed solutions, implement CI/CD with Azure DevOps, and collaborate with product and QA to ensure robust, scalable systems while promoting engineering craft and pragmatic decisions.

Senior .NET Developer (C#/.NET) - Hybrid Porto (2 days/week office)

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We're looking for a Senior .NET Developer to join a well-established international organization in the telecommunications sector, working on business-critical systems that support large-scale operations. This is a chance to take real end-to-end technical ownership, working from architecture and design through to production support, on a team that values engineering craft, pragmatic decision-making, and mentorship over process for its own sake.

PROJECT & CONTEXT

You'll join the engineering team behind a large-scale telecommunications platform for an international company with operations across Europe. The team designs and evolves scalable, distributed C# .NET solutions, with modern DevOps practices — CI/CD via Azure DevOps, Infrastructure-as-Code with Terraform, and observability tooling — embedded directly into the development lifecycle. You'll work closely with Tech Leads, QA, and Product to deliver reliable features end-to-end, while helping raise the engineering bar through code reviews, pairing, and mentoring junior and mid-level engineers.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR (Required)

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with a proven track record operating production systems at scale
• Deep proficiency in C# and modern .NET development
• Strong experience designing and deploying solutions in an Azure Cloud environment
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, APIs, and scalable architecture patterns
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment strategies (Azure DevOps)
• Demonstrated experience owning the design of distributed systems and leading engineers across teams without direct authority
• Proven ability to mentor and elevate other engineers through pairing and code review
• Strong testing practices across unit, integration, and UI automation, with thorough code review habits
• Experience working in Agile delivery teams with ownership of technical outcomes
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• Fluent English, B2 (Upper Intermediate) minimum — required

NICE TO HAVE (Preferred)

• Experience with React, HTML, CSS/SCSS for front-end collaboration
• Familiarity with Docker and containerized environments
• Experience with observability stacks such as Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, or Azure Application Insights
• Experience using AI-assisted development tooling (e.g., GitHub Copilot, MCP servers)
• Hands-on experience with Terraform / Infrastructure-as-Code
