Job summary

Addvolt, part of the Carrier group, is seeking an Architecture & System Requirements Engineer to define system architectures, capture and manage requirements, and ensure alignment across customer needs, business objectives, regulatory obligations and technical implementation for electrification solutions. You will collaborate with Product Management, Electrical, Mechanical and Software teams.

The role requires a strong systems-thinking mindset, structured problem solving and experience in

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in a related field.
• 3-5+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, Product Architecture, Requirements Engineering or related role.
• Strong understanding of systems engineering methodologies and multidisciplinary system integration.
• Experience in elicitation, analysis, decomposition, specification, traceability and change management.
• Ability to develop functional and physical architectures and define interfaces between subsystems.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Define, analyse and manage stakeholder, customer and system requirements for new products and technology platforms.
• Develop and maintain high-level system architectures, functional decompositions, interfaces and operating concepts.
• Translate customer, business, regulatory and safety needs into verifiable technical requirements.
• Maintain bidirectional traceability between stakeholder needs, system requirements, subsystem requirements, design solutions and verification activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency between system architecture, implementation, integration and validation.
• Define system interfaces and support integration planning across electrical, mechanical, software, controls and communication domains.
• Lead or support system architecture and requirements reviews, including technical trade-off studies.
• Identify system-level risks, assumptions and dependencies, and support mitigation activities.
• Support verification and validation planning by defining acceptance criteria.
• Create and maintain system engineering documentation.
