Job summary

Addvolt, part of Carrier, seeks an Architecture & System Requirements Engineer to define system architectures and manage requirements for electrification solutions. You will ensure alignment between customer needs, business objectives, regulatory obligations and technical implementation.

The role requires systems-thinking, structured problem-solving, and collaboration across Product Management, Electrical, Mechanical and Software teams in a fast-growing environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in systems engineering or related field.
• 3-5+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, Product Architecture, Requirements Engineering or related role.
• Strong understanding of systems engineering methodologies and multidisciplinary integration.
• Experience with requirements elicitation, analysis, decomposition, specification, traceability and change management.
• Ability to develop architectures and define interfaces between subsystems.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, international environment.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Define, analyse and manage stakeholder, customer and system requirements for new products and platforms.
• Develop and maintain high-level system architectures, functional decompositions, interfaces and operating concepts.
• Translate customer, business, regulatory and safety needs into verifiable technical requirements.
• Maintain bidirectional traceability between stakeholder needs and system/subsystem requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency between system architecture and implementation.
• Define interfaces and support integration planning across electrical, mechanical, software, controls and communication domains.
• Lead or support system architecture and requirements reviews and trade-off studies.
• Identify risks, assumptions and dependencies and support mitigation activities.
• Support verification and validation planning with acceptance criteria and coverage of requirements.
• Create and maintain system engineering documentation within change-management processes.
