Job summary

Grünenthal is seeking a skilled supply planning professional to join our global operations team in a hybrid role. You will drive inventory optimization, collaborate with regional sites, and coordinate with R&D, Regulatory, and Demand teams to ensure successful launches and phase-ins/phase-outs.

You will lead planning activities, monitor KPIs, and provide input into S&OP processes, with a focus on quality, service, and continuous improvement across the supply chain.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Experience in Supply Planning, Demand Planning, or Production Planning.
• Excellent English written and spoken.
• Advanced Excel and SAP-R3; Power BI and Kinaxis a plus.
• Proven leadership and project management abilities.
• Strong collaboration in multicultural environments.
• Proactive with ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Strong analytical and planning skills.

Responsibilities

What the job looks like

Each day, you’ll enjoy a variety of challenges, such as:

• Build strong relationships with Supply Chain partners (Production Planning, External Supply, Demand Managers, etc.) to ensure seamless coordination;
• Work closely with regional supply chain teams, manufacturing sites, and commercial stakeholders to align global supply strategies with market needs;
• Become the go-to expert for all things related to inventory management and service optimization;
• Proactively identify and resolve supply chain challenges to achieve the best customer service and inventory outcomes;
• Identify, escalation, and resolve supply issues, working with functional partners to address root causes;
• Collaborate with R&D, Regulatory, and Demand teams to ensure smooth product launches and seamless phase-in/phase-out planning;
• Oversee planning activities related to product phase-ins and phase-outs, keeping our supply chain agile and responsive;
• Drive end-to-end planning meetings for each Value Stream and prepare for key monthly Operational Reviews;
• Provide strategic supply input into the S&OP/IBP process, ensuring transparency of risks and opportunities;
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as inventory turns, service levels, forecast accuracy, and supply reliability, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with business goals;

What you’ll bring to the table

To make the most of this role and truly thrive, you should have:

• AMaster’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field;
• Hands-on experience in Supply Planning, Demand Planning, or Production Planning (preferably in Pharma or FMCG);
• Strong communication skills and fluency in English (written and spoken);
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and SAP-R3 (Power BI, Kinaxis is a plus!);
• A natural leader, able to drive projects and teams toward success;
