EMEA Recruitment is supporting a global manufacturing company in Porto, Portugal, to hire a Supply Chain Manager for the Braga facility. The role drives service excellence, efficiency, and continuous improvement across planning, procurement, logistics and team development.

Ideal candidates hold a degree in Supply Chain Management or Engineering, with 5+ years in production FMCG supply chain, strong SAP/Excel skills, and fluency in English and Portuguese.

Qualificações

• Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in production or FMCG supply chain with leadership experience.
• Strong analytical skills with SAP and Excel proficiency.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities; hands-on problem solver.

Responsabilidades

• Lead all supply chain operations including planning, procurement, warehousing and distribution.
• Ensure on-time, in-full delivery performance.
• Oversee inventory and capacity planning for cost efficiency.
• Manage supplier performance and drive sourcing improvements.
• Drive Lean and Six Sigma initiatives for continuous improvement.
• Develop and mentor the local supply chain team.

EMEA Recruitment is pleased to be supporting a global manufacturing company in the search for a Supply Chain Manager to join its production facility in Porto, Portugal.

This key site leadership role is responsible for driving service excellence, efficiency, and continuous improvement across the end-to-end supply chain - from order management and planning to procurement, logistics, and team development.

Key responsibilities as Supply Chain Manager include:

• Lead all Supply Chain operations including planning, procurement, warehousing, and distribution, to ensure on-time, in-full delivery performance
• Oversee inventory and capacity planning, balancing demand with optimal cost and efficiency
• Manage supplier performance and identify opportunities for sourcing and process improvements
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
• Develop and mentor the local Supply Chain team, fostering collaboration and accountability
• Deliver regular performance reports and KPIs to track efficiency, service, and cost optimisation

The ideal candidate profile:

• Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years' experience in a production or FMCG supply chain environment, with proven leadership ability
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in SAP and Excel
• Excellent communication and negotiation capabilities, with a hands-on, problem-solving approach
• Proactive mindset with a focus on results, efficiency, and process optimisation
• Fluent in English and Portuguese;
  additional languages are an advantage
