Job summary

H.B. Fuller Portugal is seeking a Purchasing Agent to support procurement of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods to ensure production continuity.

You will manage inventory, maintain SAP data, and collaborate with Planning, Sourcing, Warehouse, and Supply Chain teams to improve material availability and performance. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field, 3+ years in purchasing, and fluent German and English, written and spoken.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• At least 3 years in purchasing/procurement.
• Professional proficiency in German and English, written and spoken.
• SAP experience and MS Office skills required.
• Able to manage multiple purchasing priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Procure materials based on production plans and forecasts.
• Monitor inventory and maintain appropriate safety stock levels.
• Ensure timely material availability to support production requirements.
• Maintain accurate material and supplier data in SAP.
• Analyze demand, inventory, and procurement performance.
• Support supplier negotiations and maintain accurate pricing information.
• Coordinate supplier claims, complaints, and corrective actions.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to improve procurement and supply processes.
