Job summary

Alstom in Porto is seeking an HR Business Partner to lead the People & Culture agenda in Portugal, partnering with leaders to drive organizational effectiveness, employee engagement, compliance, and business transformation.

Based in Guifões (Porto district), you will partner with works councils, monitor key HR metrics, and translate insights into action while promoting inclusion and a high-performing culture.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in HRBP or HR Generalist roles in multinational environments.
• Strong knowledge of Portuguese labour law and complex employee relations.
• Fluent English and Portuguese; Spanish is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Advise leaders on organizational design, talent management, and workforce planning.
• Lead employee relations and ensure compliance with Portuguese labour law.
• Drive workforce planning, budgeting, and organizational changes.
• Localize and deploy global HR programs on talent, leadership, engagement, and inclusion.
• Partner with employee representatives and works councils for social dialogue.
• Monitor HR metrics like headcount, attrition, engagement, and performance; translate into action.
• Coach managers on leadership, development, and accountability.
