Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Purchasing, Strategic Procurement, Commodity Management, or Supply Chain Management.
• Experience working with suppliers and managing procurement-related activities in an international environment.
• Fluent English; German language skills are a plus.
• Strong analytical and negotiation capabilities; understanding of supplier management and procurement processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement global category strategies for Surface & Heat Treatment commodities.
• Analyze purchasing, supplier, and market data to identify consolidation and cost optimization opportunities.
• Drive supplier performance and support strategic purchasing initiatives.
• Lead ramp-up activities for new projects ensuring supplier readiness and stable supply.
• Identify and mitigate supply risks by coordinating sourcing alternatives and expediting actions.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders across functions and levels for alignment and execution.
• Build and maintain relationships with suppliers in an international environment.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in procurement efficiency and supply chain resilience.
