Bosch is seeking a Buyer for Surface & Heat Treatment to shape global purchasing strategies and ensure a competitive supplier landscape. Working in an international setting, you will collaborate with suppliers and stakeholders worldwide to drive innovation, secure supply, and create sustainable value for Bosch.

Your contribution includes developing global category strategies, analyzing data for opportunities, driving supplier performance, and leading ramp-up activities for new projects.

Qualifikationen

• Engineering/Business/SCM degree required.
• Minimum 2 years in Purchasing, Strategic Procurement, Commodity Management or SCM.
• Experience with international suppliers and procurement activities preferred.
• Strong data interpretation and analytical capabilities.
• Knowledge of supplier management and category strategy development.
• Fluent English; German is a plus.

As a Buyer for Surface & Heat Treatment, you will play a key role in shaping global purchasing strategies and ensuring a competitive supplier landscape. Working within an international environment, you will collaborate with suppliers and stakeholders worldwide to drive innovation, secure supply, and create sustainable value for Bosch.

• Develop and implement global category strategies for Surface & Heat Treatment commodities.
• Analyze purchasing, supplier, and market data to identify opportunities for consolidation, standardization, and cost optimization.
• Drive supplier performance and support the implementation of strategic purchasing initiatives.
• Lead ramp-up activities for new projects, ensuring supplier readiness and stable supply for increasing production demands.
• Identify and mitigate supply risks by coordinating sourcing alternatives and expediting actions when required.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across functions and levels to ensure alignment and successful project execution.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and business partners in an international environment.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance procurement efficiency and supply chain resilience.

Qualifications

What distinguishes you:

Education

• Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or a related field.

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Purchasing, Strategic Procurement, Commodity Management, or Supply Chain Management.
• Experience working with suppliers and managing procurement-related activities in an international environment.

Know-how

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
• Understanding of supplier management, category strategy development, and procurement processes.
• Negotiation skills are an advantage.

Languages

• Fluent English skills, both written and spoken.
• German language skills are a plus.
