Job summary

Bosch Portugal is seeking a Commercial Buyer to shape sourcing strategy in an international setting. You will collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams to drive cost optimization, secure capacities for new projects, and support sustainable growth.

The role requires a bachelor’s or master’s degree and at least five years in purchasing or supply chain, with strong analytical skills and fluency in English (German a plus). Hybrid work and health insurance are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Purchasing, Strategic Procurement, Category Management, or Supply Chain Management.
• Experience in international environments and managing supplier relationships.
• Strong understanding of category management, sourcing strategies, supplier management, and procurement processes.
• Fluent English written and spoken; German is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing category and sourcing strategies for assigned material groups.
• Analyzing market and supplier data to identify opportunities for consolidation, standardization, and cost optimization.
• Managing supplier relationships and negotiating commercial agreements to achieve business objectives.
• Securing supplier capacities for new projects and ensuring readiness to support future business demand.
• Driving initiatives related to supply chain resilience, risk mitigation, and supply continuity.
• Leading cross-functional projects involving purchasing, engineering, logistics, quality, and manufacturing teams.
• Monitoring procurement market trends and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and value creation.
