Web Summit is seeking a dynamic member for the Speakers Team to attract and manage world-class speakers for our events. You will research potential speakers, craft pitches, and coordinate complex scheduling across VIP engagements.

The role combines high-level outreach, editorial input on session concepts, and meticulous data/travel logistics, including international travel where required. A Mandarin-English bilingual background is advantageous.

Qualificações

• Fast-paced environment experience (PR, talent agency, journalism, events, TV, Radio, or high-end hospitality).
• Exceptional writing and presenting skills; sound professional, persuasive, and succinct.
• Fluent English and native-level Mandarin.
• Hybrid: offices in Dublin, Lisbon or Porto.

The role of Web Summit's Speakers Team is simple: we attract the speakers that make Web Summit so successful.

The Role Specifics

Behind every speaker confirmed for Web Summit is a mountain of research, flawless logistics, and relentless follow-up.

• Target Intelligence: Conduct deep-dive research on potential speakers, their recent announcements, and their business needs to help craft the perfect pitch.
• Outreach: Outreach with compelling & high-level pitch. You'll also be responsible for keeping the momentum alive in long-running discussions.
• Editorial: Pitch in on session concepts, titles, and narrative angles.
• Administrative Excellence: Manage speaker data, track confirmation statuses, and coordinate the complex scheduling requirements of high-profile offices.
• Briefing & Preparation: Ensuring that when pitching or meeting with a VIP, we know everything about them - and the best ways to ensure their goals are met by attending Web Summit.
• Travel: Trips within China required, in addition to standard event travel.

• Tools proficiency: Fluent with China-specific research and outreach tools, including WeChat, Weibo, Douyin, and Zhihu
• Team player: An excellent collaborator, with the ability to work equally well on your own initiative.
• Curiosity: Willingness to learn, ask questions, and scale skills quickly.
• Personality: High Social IQ. You need to be someone people enjoy working with, even under intense pressure.
• Language: Fluent English is a must, alongside native-level Mandarin.
• Location: Hybrid attendance from offices in Dublin, Lisbon or Porto.
