Job summary

Rydoo is seeking a Solution Engineer for Expense Management covering the DACH region. You will drive our technical pre-sales strategy, collaborate with sales, and possess deep knowledge of the Rydoo expense management platform, its integration points via REST APIs and SFTP, and secure solutions for complex client environments.

You will work closely with Account Executives, Product Managers and Customer Success to tailor demonstrations, run PoCs, and ensure seamless onboarding for customers

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Solution Engineering, Pre-Sales or similar.
• Degree in CS/Engineering/IT or related field required.
• Experience with SaaS applications and integrations via REST APIs/SFTP advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Account Executives to close opportunities faster.
• Become the go-to product expert on calls and demos.
• Engage IT and Finance stakeholders during evaluation to secure buy-in.
• Capture integration requirements and design value-driven solutions.
• Build/deliver product demos and address technical questions.
• Lead PoCs to validate technical requirements and showcase capabilities.
• Collaborate with Product Managers to align roadmaps with sales.
• Support Customer Success during implementation to ensure client satisfaction.
• Assist in tender/bid processes with functional and technical inputs.
• Provide prospect feedback to Product team to influence roadmap.

The Role

As a Solution Engineer Expense Management DACH at Rydoo, you will play a pivotal role within our Go-to-Market team. Your primary responsibility will be driving our technical pre-sales strategy while collaborating closely with the sales teams. A deep understanding of how the Rydoo expense management application is designed, structured, and secured, as well as expertise in integrating solutions into the tool, will be fundamental to your success in this role.

Your role is to ...

• Partner with Account Executives to close more opportunities faster
• Gain extensive product knowledge and become the most knowledgeable person on the call
• Connect with prospective clients' IT and Finance stakeholders during the decision-making process to ensure buy-in & prepare the onboarding during the contract phase
• Collect a prospect's integration and product requirements, uncover the bigger picture, and create solutions that will help create value
• Build and present product demos during customer meetings and answer technical questions related to their environment
• Conduct Proof Of Concepts (PoCs), where necessary, to help prospects validate technical requirements and highlight our platform's capabilities
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers to help align Product and Sales
• Collaborate closely with our Customer Success team to ensure seamless alignment with client needs throughout the implementation process
• Assist sales in functional and technical components of a tender and bidding process
• As an advocate of our platform, you will be able to bring insightful prospect feedback to the Product team and help shape our roadmap
• Evangelise during trade shows by delivering attractive Product Demos

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience as a Solution Engineer, Pre-Sales or other relevant position
• University degree in a relevant field such as computer science, engineering, information technology, or a related discipline
• Knowledge of integrations via REST APIs and SFTP
• Experience with setting up or managing SaaS applications
• Understanding of accounting tools, ERP, iPaaS platforms (Mulesoft, Workato, ..) is a nice to have
• Solution-oriented, don't take no for an answer
• Willing to travel to help drive our business at the customer site and to Rydoo offices to connect with our teams
• Able to distill complex requirements into concrete actionable steps or a solution for the client
• Strong interest and affinity with sales processes and business development mindset
• A people-first approach - you love talking to clients and you're not afraid to turn a no into a YES!
• Being compassionate, unselfish, and a true team player!

Languages

• Working proficiency in German (mother language) and English (C1+)
• Working proficiency in other European languages is a plus

Practicalities

• You'll be reporting to the Head of Sales Support - Expense Management
• You'll be part of the Sales team, closely collaborating with internal and customer-facing teams
