WE ARE META in Porto, Portugal seeks a Software Engineer (Java) to join our hybrid team. You will develop with Java/SpringBoot, AWS, Docker and Kubernetes in a microservices context, building secure APIs.

English fluency (B2) is required; 5+ years of experience and strong knowledge of design patterns and CI/CD are expected. Porto-based with 3x/week in-office presence and EU citizenship or valid work permit preferred.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Software Developer, with Java and SpringBoot.
• Proficient in AWS, microservices architecture, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices (Gitflow, IaC).
• Experience with API design/security and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Fluency in English (B2).

What we’re looking for:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field;
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Software Developer, working with Java and SpringBoot
• Proficient in AWS, Microservices architecture, Design Patterns, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices (Gitflow, IaC)
• Experience with React or Angular is a strong plus
• Experience with Node.js and PostgreSQL is a plus;
• Solid grasp of API security, data privacy, and Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Fluency in English (B2)

Important:

This position is following a hybrid regime, 3x/week, in Porto. Candidates should be based in Portugal and have a Portuguese or other EU citizenship, or a valid Portuguese work permit to be considered.
